The Drip Menu/Performance

EnergyB12, B-complex and aminos.

Energy is a 45-minute IV drip at LUX Med Clinic in Wynne, AR with vitamin B12, B-complex and an amino blend in a fluid base, for the run of long days where you're flat rather than ill. It's nurse-administered with a free health screen and costs $129 — and if you're tired every day, we'd rather send you for a blood test than sell you a bag.

01 — What's in the bag

Five ingredients. Each one has a job.

Your nurse confirms what is right for you at your health screen.

01
Normal saline or Lactated Ringer's
The fluid base. A surprising amount of "no energy" is dehydration wearing a costume, particularly in summer.
02
Vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin)
Involved in making red blood cells and in nerve function. It's the ingredient people ask for by name, and the one they come back for.
03
B-complex (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6)
The rest of the B family, which your body uses to turn what you eat into usable energy.
04
Amino acid blend
The building blocks of protein, included for muscle and general recovery across a hard week.
05
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid)
Antioxidant support alongside the B vitamins. Your body doesn't store it, which is why it turns up in most of our bags.
02 — Is it for me?

For a flat week. Not for a flat year.

This is the drip we're most careful with, because tiredness is the symptom that hides real things. If yours has lasted months, a bag is the wrong first move. Take the drip finder.

Book Energy if you…
Are in a stretch of long days — harvest, shift work, a new baby, exam season
Have travelled, or slept badly for a week, and want to reset
Follow a vegetarian or vegan diet, where B12 is a known shortfall
Come in occasionally and know what it does and doesn't do for you
Skip it, or ask first, if you…
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
Have kidney disease or heart failure
Are on a fluid restriction
Have Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy, or have reacted to any ingredient listed above
Our nurse screens for all of this at check-in. When in doubt, come in and ask — the screen is free, and “not today” is an answer we are willing to give.
03 — How it feels

Your hour, minute by minute.

0–5 min
Check-in and screen.
A few questions, your blood pressure, and the conversation about how long you've been tired.
5–10 min
IV placement.
A small needle in the arm or the back of the hand. A quick pinch, then nothing.
10–50 min
The drip.
Recline, blanket, water, Wi-Fi. B vitamins often give a brief taste, and some people feel warm through the chest for a moment.
After
Back to your day.
No downtime, drive yourself home. Your urine will be bright yellow for a day — that's the B vitamins, it's harmless, and it's the single most common question we get afterwards. Most people notice the difference the next morning rather than the same hour.

Tired all the time? It may be iron.
A drip will not fix iron deficiency, and being tired is not a diagnosis. It is one blood test to find out.

06 — Questions

Asked at the desk, answered here.

Will this fix how tired I am?
For a flat week, it often helps and people come back for it. For tiredness that's lasted months, no — and that's the honest answer. Persistent fatigue usually has a cause worth finding: iron, thyroid, sleep apnoea, depression, a medication you're on. A drip can sit alongside sorting that out, but it can't stand in for it, and we won't sell it as if it can.
How is this different from a B12 shot?
Dose route and scale. The B12 shot is one nutrient into muscle in ten minutes, and it's cheaper. This bag adds the rest of the B family, amino acids and a liter of fluid, over 45 minutes. People who come regularly often do shots weekly and a drip occasionally.
How long does it last?
Most people describe a lift over the following few days, sometimes up to a week or two, and it varies a lot between people. If you're getting nothing at all from it, tell us — that's useful information, and it points back at a blood test rather than a bigger bag.
Why is my urine bright yellow afterwards?
Riboflavin, one of the B vitamins. Your body takes what it needs and passes the rest, and the color is that surplus. It's harmless, it lasts a day, and it's the most common thing people text us about.
Can I get this before a night shift?
Yes, and shift workers are some of our most regular Energy customers. It won't replace sleep — nothing does — but going into a run of nights hydrated with your B's topped up is better than going in behind.
Is it safe to have B12 often?
B12 is water-soluble, so your body clears what it doesn't use, and it's well tolerated. That doesn't make more of it better: past what you need, the extra goes down the drain. Your nurse will talk to you about a sensible interval rather than encouraging weekly bags.
Can I combine it with the Metabolic drip or a Lipo-MIC shot?
Often, yes — B12 is in both. Tell the nurse everything you're getting so she can keep the total sensible rather than doubling you up by accident.
