Tone by InMode · Body · Wynne, AR

Thousands of contractions. Thirty minutes.

Tone by InMode at LUX Med Clinic in Wynne, AR is an FDA-cleared electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) treatment that makes targeted muscles contract thousands of times in a 30-minute session — abdomen, glutes, thighs or arms — with no downtime. Most people do a series of four to six sessions, ten to fourteen days apart, and notice firmer, more defined muscle over the following weeks. $149 a session, or $749 for a series of six.

Muscle, not fat
Tone strengthens and firms muscle.
It doesn’t remove fat and it isn’t a weight-loss treatment. For weight, see our physician-supervised GLP-1 Weight Loss program.
01 — How it works

Applicators on, muscles working.

The applicators deliver EMS that fires the muscle harder and more often than you can voluntarily. You lie back; the muscle does the work.

01
Consultation
Your goals, a health screen, and which areas make sense. Implants, pacemakers and pregnancy are screened here — this is the part that decides whether you can have it at all.
02
Place
Applicators are strapped to the area, up to four at a time. Nothing is broken, nothing is injected, and you keep your own clothes on except over the treated area.
03
Session
Thirty minutes of rhythmic contractions. Strong, not painful, and adjusted up or down to what you can comfortably hold.
04
Repeat
Four to six sessions, ten to fourteen days apart. Then maintenance once or twice a year.

02 — Is it for me?

For firmer, more defined muscle.

Tone is a muscle treatment. It doesn’t replace exercise, and it isn’t a way to lose weight — it’s a way to work a muscle harder than you can on your own, or to rebuild after time away from training.

A good fit if you…

Want firmer abs, glutes, thighs or arms

Are rebuilding core strength after having a baby, with your OB’s okay

Train already and want a bit more definition

Can commit to a series rather than a single session

Wait, or ask first, if you…

Are pregnant

Have a pacemaker, defibrillator or any other implanted electronic device

Have metal implants in the area we’d be treating

Are looking for fat reduction or weight loss — see GLP-1 Weight Loss instead

All of this is screened at your consultation. Individual results vary, and the honest range is wide: someone who trains four times a week will see something different from someone starting from a standstill.
03 — What to expect

Before, during, and after.

Downtime stated honestly. If a treatment needs a week to look good, we tell you so you can plan around it.

01
Day of
Muscles feel worked, the way they do after a solid session. Normal activity, no restrictions, drive yourself home.
02
Next day
Soreness like a strong workout, easing over twenty-four to forty-eight hours. Some people get none at all.
03
Weeks 2–4
A firmer feel and early definition after two or three sessions. This is where most people decide it’s worth finishing the series.
04
After the series
Best results four to eight weeks after the final session, as the muscle adaptation catches up. Maintenance every six to twelve months keeps it.
04 — Pricing

Per session, or as a series.

Medically reviewed by Dr. Vaibhav Desai, MD — last reviewed September 20, 2026
Does Tone burn fat?
No. Tone works muscle — it makes the muscle contract, which is what strengthens and defines it. It doesn’t remove fat, and if there’s a layer of fat over the muscle you’re working, the definition underneath will be harder to see. If fat and weight are the goal, the honest answer is a physician-supervised program: see GLP-1 Weight Loss. Plenty of people do both, for exactly that reason.
+
Does it hurt?
No, though it’s a strange sensation the first time. The contractions are strong and involuntary — the muscle tightens hard, holds, and releases, over and over. It shouldn’t be painful, and the intensity is adjusted to you throughout, so tell the clinician if it’s too much. Most people are chatting or on their phone by the second session.
+
How many sessions do I need?
Four to six, spaced ten to fourteen days apart, is the usual plan. Most people feel something after two or three and see the best of it four to eight weeks after the last one. After that, maintenance once or twice a year. If someone tells you one session will do it, they’re selling.
+
Can I work out the same day?
Yes, though you may not want to. The treated muscle has just done a lot of work, so most people train something else that day or take it easy. There’s no restriction — it’s comfort, not safety.
+
Tone vs Emsculpt — what’s the difference?
Both are EMS devices that make muscle contract. Ours is InMode’s Tone, on the same platform as our other InMode treatments. The differences are in the waveform, the applicators and the protocol rather than in the idea, and any clinic telling you their EMS machine is categorically better than another is guessing. Ask about the plan and the number of sessions instead — that’s what changes your result.
+
Is it for men too?
Yes, and plenty of men book it — abdomen and arms mostly. There’s nothing gendered about the treatment.
+
Can I combine Tone with the weight-loss program?
Yes, and it’s a common pairing: the program addresses weight, Tone addresses muscle. Keep the distinction clear in your own head — one doesn’t do the other’s job, and anyone who tells you EMS is a weight-loss treatment is misleading you.
+
Will I lose inches?
Some people measure a difference and some don’t, and it depends on where you’re starting. What Tone reliably does is strengthen and firm the muscle. We don’t publish inch-loss numbers because we can’t stand behind them for you specifically, and individual results vary.
