Our nurse marks the injection points for the frown-line area from your treatment plan, and notes anything else you’ve asked about so it can be discussed with Dr. Desai.

Treat
A very fine needle and a series of tiny pinches. About fifteen minutes.

Small bumps fade in twenty to thirty minutes. No rubbing the area, no lying flat, and no hard workout for the rest of the day.

Daxxify is FDA-approved for moderate-to-severe frown lines between the brows in adults. Other expression lines are an off-label conversation with your clinician. Lines that are there when your face is still are usually a filler or a skin conversation instead.

Botulinum toxin products, including Daxxify, carry a boxed warning about the possible spread of toxin effects away from the injection site. Symptoms can include muscle weakness, and trouble swallowing or breathing, and they can occur hours to weeks after an injection. Tiny bumps and pinpoint redness for about thirty minutes, then back to your day. Makeup can wait until tomorrow.

Do you offer Botox?
We use Daxxify. It’s in the same family and works the same way — both are botulinum toxin type A — and for frown lines most people can’t tell you which one they had. The difference you will notice is how long it lasts: Daxxify typically lasts around six months, longer than older relaxers for many people, so most people come twice a year instead of three times. Your clinician will explain the differences and whether Daxxify suits you. If you’ve had Botox before and been happy, say so; it’s useful information for planning your treatment.

Will I look frozen?
Not if the plan is right. A frozen look comes from too much product in too many places, and it’s avoidable. We’d rather start conservatively and add a little at your day-14 check than overshoot — and with Daxxify lasting around six months, overshooting is a long time to live with. Tell your clinician what you want to keep; most people want their brows to still move.

Does it hurt?
Very little. The needle is fine, and it’s a series of quick pinches over about fifteen minutes. Small bumps come up at each point and settle in twenty to thirty minutes. You can drive yourself home and go back to work.

Daxxify vs. filler — which one do I need?
It depends on whether the line moves. Lines that appear when you frown are muscle, and that’s what Daxxify is for. Lines and hollows that are there when your face is still are volume, and that’s a filler conversation — ours is natural PRF filler, made from your own blood. Plenty of people end up doing both, and the consultation is where that’s sorted out.

How often should I come back?
Most people rebook at around six months, when movement starts to return — twice a year rather than the three visits an older relaxer usually needs. There’s no benefit to coming sooner, and coming much sooner is how people end up looking overdone. Individual results vary, and your clinician will tell you what to expect for your plan.
