Apex RF — men’s wellness

Apex RF is a non-invasive InMode treatment that uses bipolar radiofrequency with real-time temperature control, designed to improve local blood circulation. At LUX Med Clinic in Wynne, AR sessions take about fifteen minutes with no downtime, typically in a series of six. Many men ask about Apex RF in connection with erectile function; Dr. Vaibhav Desai, MD reviews your history at a private consultation and tells you honestly whether it is appropriate for you.

01 — What it is

Radiofrequency, and what it’s for.

Apex RF is a device treatment on InMode’s ApexRF platform. What it is designed to do is improve local blood circulation in the treated area. That’s the cleared purpose, that’s what we’ll tell you it does, and everything else belongs in the consultation.

How it works. Bipolar radiofrequency energy is delivered to the tissue with real-time temperature monitoring, so the area is warmed to a controlled level and held there. Warming tissue in this way is associated with increased local blood flow. Nothing is injected, nothing is cut, and nothing is left behind.

Why men ask about it. Circulation is part of erectile function, so men frequently raise Apex RF in that context. We’re not going to pretend that conversation doesn’t happen — it’s most of why men book the consultation. What we won’t do is tell you on a web page that this treats erectile dysfunction, because that isn’t what the device is cleared for and we don’t know your history. Some men explore it if oral medication hasn’t suited them; whether that’s a sensible path for you is a decision for your consultation with Dr. Desai.

What we will not tell you. A success rate. A percentage. A number of sessions after which something is supposed to happen. If you find a clinic publishing those figures for this treatment, ask them where they came from.

02 — What happens

Fifteen minutes. Private room.

A physician consultation comes first, every time, and there is no way around it.

01
Physician consultation first
Always, before any session. Dr. Desai reviews your history, your medications and what’s actually going on, and tells you whether Apex RF is appropriate for you. Sometimes the answer is that something else is — including a referral, or a conversation with your own doctor about your cardiovascular health, which is worth having in its own right.
02
The session
A private room. The applicator is applied to the treatment area and moved over it while the temperature is monitored. You feel gentle, steady warmth.
03
About fifteen minutes
Then you’re done.
04
Straight back to normal
No downtime, no restrictions, no recovery. Drive yourself, go back to work, train if that was your plan.
A series of six is typical. Any change tends to be noticed over weeks to a few months rather than immediately, and it isn’t guaranteed to happen at all.

03 — Is it for me?

A physician decides. Not a web page, and not you.

Erectile function has many causes — cardiovascular disease, diabetes, medication, hormones, prostate treatment, stress, sleep. Some of them are serious, and some of them are the first sign of something that needs attention rather than a device. That’s the real reason the consultation comes first.

A good fit if you…

Want to understand what Apex RF does before deciding anything

Have raised this with a doctor before and want another conversation

Would rather start with something non-invasive and be told honestly whether it fits

Have noticed a change and haven’t yet had anyone look at the whole picture

Not suitable, or ask first, if you…

Have a pacemaker, defibrillator or any implanted electronic device

Have metal implants in the treatment area

Have an active infection or a skin condition in the area

Have a medical history Dr. Desai flags at your consultation

One thing worth saying plainly: a new or worsening difficulty with erections can be an early sign of cardiovascular disease. If that’s what’s brought you here, the most valuable thing this page can do is tell you the consultation should cover your heart, your blood pressure and your blood sugar — not just a device.
04 — Privacy

How we handle this.

Everything clinical happens in the room. Nothing clinical happens on this website.

That’s the calendar name for every appointment in this part of the clinic — Forma V, V-Tone and Apex RF share it — so it reveals nothing about which one you booked.
02
Reminders are discreet
Your text and email confirmations say the same thing and nothing more.
03
A private room
With the door closed, and a clinician present.

“[QUOTE — to be captured in Dr. Desai’s own words; draft for approval: “Men wait years to ask about this. Often the most useful thing that comes out of the appointment isn’t the treatment — it’s what else we find.”]”
Dr. Vaibhav Desai, MD · Medical Director
Is this a replacement for medication?
No, and we won’t present it as one. Whether medication, this treatment, both or neither makes sense for you is a conversation with Dr. Desai, who will look at your history rather than at what you’ve read. Some men explore Apex RF because oral medication hasn’t suited them — that’s a reason to have the consultation, not a claim about what happens next.
+
Does it treat erectile dysfunction?
The device is designed to improve local blood circulation, and that is what we can tell you it does. Circulation is one part of erectile function, which is why men ask about it in that context. Dr. Desai will discuss whether Apex RF is appropriate in your particular case, and if it isn’t, he’ll say so.
+
Is it painful?
No. It’s steady warmth. The temperature is monitored in real time throughout, and you can ask for it to be adjusted at any point.
+
Is there anyone else in the room?
A clinician, throughout. Nobody else, and the door is closed. Private room, discreet booking, and a front desk that has this conversation without commentary.
+
How many sessions are typical?
A series of six. Any change tends to be noticed over weeks to a few months rather than straight away, and we can’t promise you’ll notice one. That honesty is the reason we don’t publish a number to expect.
+
Can I combine it with Tone?
Yes — Tone runs on the same InMode platform, and men book it regularly for the abdomen and arms. Whether the two make sense together for you is Dr. Desai’s advice to give at your consultation.
+
Do I have to have a consultation first?
Yes, every time, and there’s no way around it. This is a physician-supervised treatment and the consultation is where it’s decided whether it suits you at all. It’s also, frankly, where some men get more useful information than the treatment itself would have given them.
+
Will anyone know why I’m here?
Only the clinician treating you and Dr. Desai. Your booking, confirmation and reminder all say “Private Consultation”.
