The Drip Menu/Recovery

Recoverthe post-round, post-game reset.

Recover is a 45-minute IV drip at LUX Med Clinic in Wynne, AR that rehydrates you and replaces the electrolytes and B vitamins you lose after a round of golf, a game, a long shift, or a rough night. It's nurse-administered, includes a free health screen, and costs $129 — walk in any time we're open, or book a chair.

01 — What's in the bag

Six ingredients. Each one has a job.

Your nurse confirms what is right for you at your health screen.

01
Normal saline or Lactated Ringer's
Rehydrates fast. It's the base every other ingredient rides in, and for most people it does more of the work than anything else in the bag.
02
B-complex (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6)
Helps your body turn food into energy, and steadies the flat feeling that follows hard exertion or a short night.
03
Vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin)
Supports energy and focus over the next couple of days, not just the next hour.
04
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid)
Antioxidant support while your body catches up.
05
Magnesium chloride
Eases muscle tightness and supports normal muscle function — the one people notice after eighteen holes in August.
06
Glutathione
An antioxidant your body makes on its own, and the ingredient that separates Recover from a plain hydration bag.
02 — Is it for me?

Made for the day after.

Honest answer: Recover is for dehydration and depletion. If that isn't your problem, another drip probably fits better — take the drip finder. Take the drip finder.

Book Recover if you…
Just played eighteen in the Arkansas heat
Have a tournament, a game or a long shift tomorrow
Overdid it at a wedding, a concert or a night out
Feel wrung out and headachy, and can't drink enough water to fix it
Skip it, or ask first, if you…
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
Have kidney disease or heart failure
Are on a fluid restriction, or on certain blood-pressure medications
Have ever reacted to any ingredient listed above
Our nurse screens for all of this at check-in. When in doubt, come in and ask — the screen is free, and “not today” is an answer we are willing to give.
03 — How it feels

Your hour, minute by minute.

Most people say the hardest part is the two seconds of the IV going in. After that it's a reclining chair, a blanket, and your phone or a nap.

0–5 min
Check-in and screen.
A few questions from the nurse, your blood pressure, and we confirm the drip and any add-ons.
5–10 min
IV placement.
A small needle in the arm or the back of the hand. A quick pinch, then nothing. Numbing spray if you want it.
10–50 min
The drip.
Recline, blanket, water, Wi-Fi. Some people feel a cool sensation traveling up the arm; a few taste the vitamins for a moment. Both are normal.
After
Back to your day.
Most people feel clearer within the hour and better through the next day. No downtime, no restrictions, drive yourself home.

06 — Questions

Asked at the desk, answered here.

How long does the Recover drip take?
About 45 minutes in the chair, plus a five-minute health screen with our nurse when you arrive. Most people are in and out within the hour. If you're on a tight schedule, tell the front desk when you check in and we'll tell you honestly whether we can get you through in time.
Does it help with a hangover?
It rehydrates you and replaces the B vitamins and electrolytes a rough night depletes, and the optional anti-nausea add-on settles your stomach. It won't undo alcohol's effects, and it isn't a reason to drink more — but most people leave feeling markedly better than they came in.
Can I walk in without an appointment?
Yes. Recover is walk-in and by appointment, both, any time we're open. Booking guarantees you a chair at a set time, which matters on a Saturday morning or the day after a big event. Walking in is usually fine on a weekday afternoon.
Who should not get this drip?
Anyone pregnant or breastfeeding, anyone with kidney disease or heart failure, anyone on a fluid restriction, and anyone who has reacted to one of the ingredients. Certain blood-pressure and diuretic medications need a look first. Our nurse screens for this in person before anything is started, and we will say no when no is the right answer.
Will it hurt?
A pinch when the IV goes in, and that's it. We use a small catheter, and numbing spray if you want it. During the drip you might feel a cool sensation moving up your arm or taste the vitamins briefly. Tell the nurse if anything feels wrong — she'll slow the rate down, which fixes most of it.
How often can I come?
Recover is an occasional drip by nature — after the round, after the game, after the night. Most people come a handful of times a year. If you find yourself wanting one weekly, that's worth a conversation with the nurse about what's actually going on, and it may be that a different drip or a lab test is the better answer.
Can I get a drip on my way to work?
Most people can. There's no sedation, no restriction on driving, and nothing to recover from afterwards. Eat something first — an empty stomach is the most common reason someone feels lightheaded in the chair.
